Continuing your education beyond the high school level can open doors to a plethora of opportunities that would otherwise not be available. Unfortunately, many citizens of Ohio cannot afford to receive a college education, and that’s where getting a scholarship can be of assistance.
The Cuyahoga Community College Foundation explains one scholarship that’s available to students is the First Generation Scholarship. This award is presented to the most deserving students who are the first in their families to receive a college education. As well as meeting the above criteria, anyone wishing to be considered for the scholarship must also carry an overall grade point average of 2.5 or better.
Several organizations provide funding for the scholarship and at Nurenberg, Paris, Heller & McCarthy, our team of Cleveland personal injury attorneys is doing its part as well.
Throughout the month of August, we will donate $2 to the First Generation Scholarship for every unique “Like” that our Facebook page receives. This money can then be used to help fulfill a student’s dreams of being the first in their family to graduate from college.
We know how difficult it can be to afford college and hope you will do your part to help a local Cleveland student fulfill their dreams by simply going to our page and clicking the "like" button.
